Code of Business Conduct
Shwe Sakar Company Limited, is committed to conducting its business in the highest ethical and moral manner and with total regard to human and legal requirements. To achieve this end, we carry out our business based on the following principles.
1. Compliance with Laws and Workplace Regulations.
The Company is fully committed to comply with laws and regulations of the country and with ethical standards we have enunciated through the Company policies. Also, we will provide adequate training to all employees to have a clear understanding on each employee roles and responsibilities and on safety, health and legal requirements and on Company policies.
2. Child Labor
The Company does not employ any individual who has not attained the age of 16 years at the time of employment.
3. Prison/Forced labor
We completely refrain from using prison labor or forced labor. We will not knowingly utilize or purchase materials and/or products manufactured by prison or forced labor - indentured, bonded or otherwise. We also do not condone the practice of forced overtime, involuntary employee “deposits”, withholding of identity papers or any such practice that would restrict free movement of individuals.
4. Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining
We recognize and respect the right of employees to exercise their lawful rights of freedom of association, collective bargaining and joining or not joining any association of their choice at any time during their employment.
5. Health and Safety:
We continue to have a safe and healthy working environment for all the employees in the workplace at all times. We take pride in striving towards world-class Health and Safety standards.
6. Environmental Safekeeping:
We understand that the environment in which we live in is to be carefully maintained and protected for future generations. Therefore, we adopt manufacturing practices that do ensure the safety of our natural resources and ecological surroundings. We also are committed to comply with environmental rules, regulations and standards applicable to our business operations, and will observe environmentally-conscious practices all the time.
7. Compensation and Benefits:
The Company maintains the wages, salaries and benefits structure to meet or exceed the minimum legal requirements in the industry.
8. Working Hours:
Company’s weekly working hours, tea and meal breaks, weekly holidays and overtime are based on the local law requirements and / or the standards of our customers. We are committed to maintaining the standards of both as stipulated by law and standards set-forth by our customers.
9. Non-Discrimination:
We are committed to equal treatment for all individuals - regardless of race, age, color, sex, national origin, physical or mental disability, HIV, religion, pregnant status, Marriage status or union representative, or any other factors that are not job-related. 10. Harassment or Abuse:
We treat each employee with dignity and respect, and will not use corporal punishments, threats or violence or any other forms of physical, sexual, psychological, or verbal harassment or any other form of abuse against all our employees. 11. Customs Compliance
Company will comply with applicable customs laws, and will establish and maintain programs to comply with customs laws to avoid illegal trans-shipment of products.
12. Supplier Chain Security
Shew Sakar Company Limited is committed to Supply Chain Security and gives top priority and consideration for security of its employees whilst in its premises, cargo/goods and/or materials and for all third parties who deal with us through Stringent security procedures to prevent and mange risks.
